Relationships in the church
I think relationships in the church are one of the most forgotten and overlooked areas of our life. Honestly, how many people in your church would you consider to be really good friends? That you could tell anything to. The hard part is these friendships can be the most encouraging and honest if you let them. But it's so hard too because Christians, as a whole, are very judgmental. We have really high standards, which is great, but then we sometimes hold others to higher standards then we hold ourselves. I used to never want to really share things with people at church because I didn't want them to think I was a lesser Christian. I didn't want them to think I was a terrible person because I was thinking or saying things that 'good Christians" don't do. Yes we should have high standards and keep each other accountable. But there is also a line into judgement that should not be crossed. Your opinion of them shouldn't be swayed by what they say. After all, we're all guilty too.
